Well, look around. You are in 'air', the most natural gas, though not visible but you can feel it when it moves around you, that's called wind.
Do really you think that if it would keep it shape or form, that you could feel the wind blow from every direction? How can wind come from another side, come around the corner of that big building? Would that be possible if it were as 'fixed' as concrete?
The volume of a gas is subject to change with temperature and pressure.
A gas is a substance with no definite shape or volume.
take up space and have particles
Heat causes substances to change their state because, when heated, the molecules within the substance to move around faster. The faster the molecules bounce about, the weaker they are held together.
All four states of matter could fill a container completely if there was enough of them. That said the properties of the 3 states of matter (that you need to know about for high/secondary school) are:Solid - Fixed shape and fixed volume.Liquid - No fixed shape but fixed volume.Gas - No fixed shape, no fixed volume and fill the space available.A large enough volume of liquid or solid could fill a container completely but only the smallest amount of a gas will fill the whole container.
The matter that can change shape and volume is gas.
A gas has no fixed volume or shape.
Gas
No it is not.
Yes it can See a gas it needs to change its shape in order to fit into a container or anything that it can be in for instance....If i had a square container and a cirlce container the gas is going to have to change its shape to fit in to the round container...if the gas starts out in the square container it has to change its shape into a circle to be able to be in the circle container
a gas
A solid has a fixed volume and does not change shape.

A gas
a gas
A liquid has a fixed volume but not a fixed shape. If you put it into a graduated cylinder, it will take the shape of the cylinder. If you put it into a bowl, it will take the shape of the bowl.
