Science answers questions on how the natural world works but not on the nature of good and evil. That latter is the subject of philosophy.
Science is not inherently good or evil. It is a way to acquire knowledge systematically, which is only a tool. The ways in which science is applied, on the other hand, can be good or evil. For instance, scientific research has produced dynamite, which can be used to do something evil, like blow up a school, or something good, like blasting a passage through a hill for a new highway. There are many such examples. Nuclear energy generation / nuclear bombs, germ warfare / cures for diseases. Good and evil are in the actions of man, not in objects or processes.

Why my friend, this is a philosophical statement... but it has only one clear cut answer and that is if there is no good then evil cannot be compared and contrasted to anything thus evil acts would be good. That leads us into good existing without evil which is simply stating if ther is no evil then everything is good because of the lack of existence of evil.
