This equation is exothermic. The energy is written in positive numerals on the right hand side. This means that energy has been released. Moreover, this is a combustion reaction.

What type of reaction is al2co33s 6hno3aq 2alno33aq 3h2og 3co2g?

Assuming you mean Al2(CO3)3 + 6HNO3 --> 2Al(NO3)3 + 3H2O + 3CO2 it is basically a double replacement reaction, and then a decomposition reaction. The aluminum and hydrogen replace each other (double replacement) then the carbonic acid (H2CO3) immediately decomposes into water and carbon dioxide. You could also argue this is an acid/base reaction, since it's aluminum carbonate (a base) and nitric acid are producing water and the soluble salt aluminum nitrate.
