I don't see why measuring the volume of liquids using the Eureka can method. It is an indirect measure -- you displace water or some other fluid to measure a liquid? A direct tool, such as measuring beakers or cylinders with markings, is inexpensive and can measure volume adequately. Eureka cans are more for measuring the volume of solids, especially irregularly-shaped ones.

What is a objective in scientific method?

An objective in the scientific method refers to the specific goal or purpose that a researcher aims to achieve through their investigation. It guides the formulation of hypotheses and the design of experiments, ensuring that the research remains focused and relevant. Clear objectives help in measuring outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of the study. Ultimately, they contribute to advancing knowledge within a particular field.

Give the meaning of scientific method?

Scientific Method means solving a problem through processes.

Which is the method of purification that does not kill germs?

The method of purification that does not kill germs is filtration. Filtration physically removes impurities and microorganisms from liquids or gases by passing them through a filter medium, but it does not necessarily kill the pathogens. As a result, while the filtered substance may be free from particles, it may still contain viable microorganisms. To ensure the elimination of germs, additional methods like disinfection or pasteurization are typically required.

What is the scientific information gathered through observation?

Scientific information gathered through observation refers to data collected through sensory experiences, such as seeing, hearing, or measuring phenomena in the natural world. This information can be qualitative, describing characteristics, or quantitative, involving numerical measurements. Observational data is crucial for forming hypotheses, testing theories, and developing a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. It serves as the foundation for further experimentation and analysis in the scientific method.

How do you use a eureka can that contains water in it?

A eureka can, designed for measuring water displacement, is used by filling it with water until it overflows from the spout. To measure an object, submerge it gently into the can; the water displaced by the object will flow out of the spout. The volume of water that exits the spout corresponds to the volume of the object. This method is particularly useful for measuring irregularly shaped objects.

What could you measure using a measuring cylinder?

Volume of liquids. You could also use it to measure the volume of small solids using the displacement-of-fluid method.

What is a measuring cylinder used for?

It is to measure liquids to specific amounts to be used in the scientific experiments. Sometimes called a graduated cylinder usually ruled with lines at each millilter or fraction thereof. A more common example would be a measuring cup ruled or marked in fractions of a cup though not all measuring cups have circular cross-sections.

How do you separate mixtures liquids to liquids?

A good method is the distillation.

Why did aristotie say eureka?

Aristotle did not say "Eureka." The exclamation "Eureka" is attributed to Greek mathematician and inventor Archimedes, who reportedly shouted it when he discovered a method to determine the purity of a gold crown. The word "Eureka" means "I have found it" in Greek.

How do you find viscosity of given liquid by oscillating disc method?

To find the viscosity of a liquid using the oscillating disc method, you would typically place a disc in the liquid and oscillate it at a constant frequency. By measuring the torque required to keep the disc oscillating, along with other parameters like disc radius and frequency, you can calculate the viscosity using the equation specific to this method. This method is suitable for measuring the viscosity of Newtonian liquids.

How do you measure vanilla extract?

Vanilla extract is liquid, so use measuring spoons to measure it, or for large quantities use a measuring cup for liquids. Vanilla powder can be measured with measuring spoons or a measuring cup for solids. Whole bean vanilla doesn't usually need a measuring device, since the recipe will say something like "seeds of 1 whole vanilla bean."

Is filtering a common method to separate liquid?

No. Liquids cannot be separated by filtering. A method to separate mixed liquids is distillation.

What are the Ways in which liquids can be separated?

Liquids can be separated through techniques such as distillation, where the liquids are heated and their vapor is condensed back into liquid form. Another method is filtration, which involves passing the liquid through a filter to separate solid particles. Additionally, liquids can be separated using centrifugation, where the liquid is spun at high speeds to separate components based on density.
