there are two types of change. the first one is the physical change. the form or appearance of the substance is change but the chemical properties of the substance is not changed. example, water evaporates into the air, that is a physical change because from liquid, water changes into gas but it then comes back to water as rain. the other one is chemical change wherein the chemical properties of the substance is changed. example is burning of wood. wood is burned and turned into charcoal. the chemical properties of wood is different from the chemical properties of charcoal and charcoal is another substance.

What is the direct transfer of heat from one substance to a another substance that is Touching?

It is known as: conduction.

A change that occurs when one or more substance change into entirely new substances with different properties.?

When one thing changes to another, the process is called metamorphosis. One dictionary definition is, "A marked change in appearance, character, condition, or function." This can happen with inanimate objects, as well as with biological entities. A good example is the butterfly.

The fundamental density is the ratio of the mass of a substance to its volume this is known as what?

its density. note. density is often expressed as the ratio of the density of the substance to the density of water at standard temperature and pressure. This is known as the specific gravity of the substance. It is a dimensionless number so it has no units.

What kind of variable that a researcher purposely changes in an investigation is?

The variable that a researcher purposely changes in an investigation is called the independent variable. This variable is manipulated to observe its effect on another variable, known as the dependent variable. By altering the independent variable, researchers can determine causal relationships and assess how changes influence outcomes in their study.

What type of variable changes during an investigation?

The type of variable that changes during an investigation is called the "dependent variable." This variable is affected by the manipulation of another variable, known as the independent variable, which is intentionally changed by the researcher. The dependent variable is measured to observe the outcome of the experiment. In essence, it reflects the effects of the changes made to the independent variable.

chemical .

Properties seen when one substance changes to another are know as properties?

The properties exhibited during a substance's transformation to another substance are known as chemical properties. These characteristics relate to the ability of a substance to undergo chemical changes, such as reactivity with other substances or the formation of new compounds.

Properties that determine the chemical changes that a substance goes through are known as?

Chemical properties

When a substance changes into a new or different substances with different properties?

This is a chemical change, also known as a chemical reaction.

How do the properties of a new substance compare the properties of a original substance after a chemical change takes place?

Mass gets preserved (you have to consider the stuff that isn't the end produced chemical, too). Otherwise, chemical changes are known for having different properties. They could have similar properties, I imagine, but then, "Why would anybody want to make them?"

How characteric property can help identify matter?

Characteristic properties are unique to a specific substance and can be used to identify that substance. For example, density, melting point, boiling point, and color are characteristic properties that can help distinguish one substance from another. By comparing these properties with known values, scientists can determine the identity of a substance.

How can you identify a stubstance based on its charactheristic properties?

You can identify a substance by comparing its characteristic properties such as color, density, melting point, boiling point, solubility, and conductivity to known data for various substances. These properties can help distinguish one substance from another and determine its identity. By conducting tests and measurements on these properties, you can narrow down the possibilities and identify the substance accurately.

What same fixed composition and properties is known as a?

substance

What is the difference between the physical properties and the chemical properties of a substance?

A physical property can be observed without changing the material's composition. A chemical property can only be observed when a chemical change takes place.

What is the advantage of adding another substance to iron?

Adding another substance to iron can improve its properties, such as strength, durability, or corrosion resistance. This process, known as alloying, allows for the creation of materials with specific characteristics tailored to different applications.

What are properties describes how a substance interact with other substance?

The property that involves how a substance interacts with other substances is known as chemical property. This is what will cause chemical changes during reactions.
