Do several sets of trials for each different set of possible conditions.

You need to have temperature, time, battery type.

I am guessing you would just take measurements using a voltmeter(Joules/Coulomb) or ammeter (Coloumb/sec) to measure how much voltage/current the battery releases and compare it to the original voltage, to see how well charged the battery is, from its original state, and do this at regular time intervals.

There are lithium batteries, alkaline, NiCd, D sized, C sized, AAA ... Likely, they all don't work the same.

Do one set of batteries at one temperature, another set at another temp, another at another, etc..

Make charts from each different set of possible conditions, of the batteries.

Make conclusions from the results by seeing correlations and connecting things logically. For ex: as the temperature went down, the batteries better preserved electrical energy.

Why must a controlled experiment have one manipulated variable?

a controlled experiment must have only one manipulated variable becuase if the experiment had multiple manipulated variables then it would not be a controlled experiment anymore it would be a manipulated Deseret experiment

An experiment in which only one variable is manipulated at a time is called?

A controlled experiment. In a controlled experiment, one variable (independent variable) is changed or manipulated while all other variables are kept constant to observe the effect on the dependent variable. This allows researchers to determine the specific impact of the variable being tested.

What is the independent variable in an experiment that shows how the volume of gas changes with the temperature?

The independent variable in this experiment is the temperature. This is the variable that is manipulated or controlled by the researcher to observe its effect on the volume of gas.

What is a controlled factor in an experiment?

A controlled factor in an experiment is a variable that is kept constant or unchanged throughout the experiment. By controlling these factors, researchers can isolate the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. This helps ensure that any changes observed are due to the manipulated variable and not other factors.

What is in an experiment the factor that is deliberately manipulated also called the manipulated variable?

In an experiment, the factor that is deliberately manipulated is called the independent variable. This variable is changed or controlled by the researcher to observe its effect on another variable, known as the dependent variable. By systematically altering the independent variable, researchers can determine causal relationships between variables.

The factor that a scientist changes in a controlled experiment is the what?
