have a strong attractive force
Solid have definite shape because the particles of solid are closely packed together and they cannot move freely. Therefore the force of attraction of particles in solid is more.
I think it's because the particles are packed together tightly, wheres in liquids they can move around a bit more and in gases they can move around absolutely freely. That's why gases take up all the room in an area and also explains why they can be compressed
The solids have definite shape they have definite volume they have high density they are packed ie.not compressible
because the particles in solids are more close together and strong so they would support it better than fluid because fluid particles are spread out. Hope this helps. : )
Because the particles can't move the object can't move which give it the shape and volume
Amorphous solids have no definite melting point because their particles are arranged randomly. Amorphous solids do not have crystal form or definite melting point.
Crystals.
If you talking about shape, then yes.

Some solids such as crystals form along atomic bonds.
A glass has a random arrangement of particles. They are often called amorphous, which means without shape. Contrast with a crystal, which has a definite arrangement of particles.
Yes, solids have a definite shape
As per the kinetic theory of matter , the solids have very less intermolecular space and the force of attraction is very much. This does not allow the particles to move around freely and thus solids have a definite volume.
The particles in copper are close together because it is a type of solid. Solids have a definite shape and mass. Copper is a type of metal, which is a great conductor. Any item with hardness is a solid, for copper is a solid

A solid has definite shape because when particles in any element are cooled down to it's freezing point (becoming a solid), the particles begin to pack together in a particular pattern resulting in the solid's distinct shape.
