The list is so exhaustive that I'm not even going to try, but I'll tell you about the tools/equipment I use.
I study geophysics, and often have to collect data to try and understand the structure of the Earth. I use magnometers to measure the magnetic field strength, gravimeters to measure the gravitational field strength, terrameters (and occasionally something called an EM34) to measure the resistivity of the immediate subsurface, and a seismometer with an array of geophones to detect irregularities (such as geological changes) using seismic waves.
The tools which a microbiologist used are: autoclave, oven use for sterlization, incubation chamber or BOD for incubation of microbes. Glass dishes known as Petri dish for culturing microbes on solid growth medium, the inoculation loop for streaking microbial sample on petri plate. LAF a chamber for the inoculation of microbial culture. The most important from all is a microscope to view microorganisms and their morphology which can not be seen by naked eyes.
Scientist use the same tools because, so their measurements will be the same.
what tools arte generally used for rocket science
The tools that a scientist would use to conduct an experiment would vary greatly on the nature of the experiment.
Barometers, Anemometer, Thermometer
They use a variety of tools such as a highly complex microscope, telescope or something as simple as a ruler and piece of string, the tools depend entirely on the experiment.
