I think its cool that the pH scale is logarithmic! That means that a pH of 8 is 10 times more basic than a pH of 7! cool!
Its also really cool that pH is the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration!
theres a such things pH indicators which lets you know if the solution contains acidic base or not
pH is a scale that measures acidity and basicity of a substance, with a usual range of between 0-14. The closer the value is to zero, the more acidic the substance is. The closer it is to 14, the more basic it is. However, some extreme substances can have pH of higher than 15 or lower than 0. pH is calculated by the equations:
pH = - log [concentration of H+ ions]
(or)
pH = 14 + log [concentration of OH- ions]
Since it is a logarithmic scale, each number differs by a factor of ten from the next. For example, a substance of pH 3 is 10 times more acidic than a substance of pH 4.
The pH scale was first used by a Swedish botanist, I believe, in his studies to determine the effects of acidity on plant growth. The scientific community liked the idea so much that it became official.
everything has a pH
Acids generally have a pH ranging from 1 - 6. pH 1 being the most acidic, and pH 6 being the least acidic. eg, hydrochloric acid, nitric aicd, sulfuric acid has a pH of 1. Ethanoic acid has a pH of 3.
Normally term,'PH' of a solution is used determine the strength of an acid which is nothing but the concentration of H+ ion concentration in a solution. ph= -log[H+] concentration.... since its -ve log hence smaller value of PH means it's more strong acid. ph=7 is value of water which is neutral. pH ranging below 7 are acids & above 7 are bases.
8.0 ph
pH = -log [H+(aq)]. In words, pH is the negative logarithm (to the base 10) of the hydrogen ion concentration.
pH 1 is the most acidic, as it is closest to 0 on the pH scale. Lower pH values indicate higher acidity.
pH=6,4

You can test the pH of a solution using pH strips, pH meters, or pH indicator solutions. With pH strips, you simply dip the strip into the solution and compare the color change to a pH color chart. pH meters provide a digital pH value by immersing the electrode into the solution. pH indicator solutions change color based on the pH of the solution, allowing for a visual estimation of pH.
The pH is determined with a pH-meter.
A dilute acid. The concentration of H+ is 10-2 moles per litre. So 0.01M HCl for instance. I didn't write the facts below- they may be correct:- Diet Drinks tend to be close to the 2-range. And Acid Rain is close to a pH level of 2.
To measure pH accurately in a solution, you can use a pH meter or pH strips. A pH meter provides a digital reading of the pH level, while pH strips change color based on the pH level of the solution. Simply dip the pH meter probe or pH strip into the solution and read the pH value indicated.
pH 0 < acidic < pH 7 neutral = pH 7 pH 7 < basic < pH 14
pH = 14 is basic pH = 7 is neutral pH - 1 and 2 are acidic; pH = 1 is more acidic than pH = 2 Therefore a solution at pH 1 has higher concentration of H+ than at pH 14
The lower the pH, the more acidic the solution is. Remember, pH 7.0 is H2O. As pH decreases below 7, the solution's acidity increases. As pH increase above 7, the basicity of the solution increases. Hence, in the choices you provided, pH 1.0 is most acidic.

Most acidic is substance of pH of 2, then of pH of 5 and the substance of pH 7 is neutral and the substance of pH 11 is basic
