There are many plants that are used for science projects. Some projects test how well plants grow with direct sunlight as opposed to no sunlight. Some projects try to determine whether music will help plants to grow. Other projects test growing plants at different temperatures. These projects can be found at http:www.terimore.com.

You will find over 300 projects on this site many of which are about plants.

It will depend on what kind of project you're doing which will determine what you will need for a project on plants. Besides plants, a person will probably need water, plant food, sun lights if exposing them to long periods of light and a camera to record progress.
