Dear mate!

Chestnut are highly adapted to provide support and protection for the encased embryo. One characteristic of the seed that contributes to this protection is the spines that coat the outside of the seed. Secondly, not only are the seed coverings very hard, the seeds themselves are very resistant.

chestnut trees were once grown underwater. they could not produce chestnuts this way. eventually they grew taller so they could grow the chestnut. they then grew limbs to travel to land to grow the chestnuts there. they then lost their limbs and were once again just trees.
