Coal is used in many power plants to produce electricity. Mining coal requires stripping away thick layers of soil and rock, destroying ecosystems. Layers of soil and rock take billions of years to form. These fuels have to be burned to release the energy stored inside them. The burning of fossil fuels produces waste gases that causes air pollution, including smog and acid rain.
Because coal contains carbon it releases carbon dioxide when it is burnt. Carbon dioxide is the pollution that is causing global warming.
It can be very dangerous to mine it.
Takes thousands of years to form (is running out)
Produces sulphur dioxide when burnt (sulphur dioxide > acid rain)
Also it causes smog and releases methane
It keeps me in a job !!
it hurts the environment by realising carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, ash etc.
Coal produces CO2, and also sulphur dioxide depending on the sulphur content of the coal used, and these are released to the atmosphere during operation. Nuclear energy produces radioactive waste, which is contained in the spent fuel. This can be stored safely and thus not released to the environment, but it needs to be stored for many years, perhaps even thousands of years.
Fossil fuel is a resource that pollutes air.
Fossil
It will cause global warming

The advantages of using hydrogen fuel cells are that they are an alternative fuel to fossil fuels, like coal, oil and gas. Also, burning or reacting hydrogen with oxygen runs electric motors and it's only emission is water vapour. The disadvantages of using hydrogen fuel cells is that hydrogen does not occur naturally on Earth and thus is not an energy source. It takes a great deal of energy to extract Hydrogen from water. Hope this helps! :)

It cost more than regular fuel.
its very flamable
Coal is fossil fuel.
Coal is not a suitable automotive fuel as:It is not compatible with internal combustion enginesRequires complex handling and combustion systemsProduces solid wasteHas no distribution system at the user levelContains sulfur compoundsEmits radiationRequires continuous firing - no off on on capacity
Coal is a fossil fuel.
Yes, coal is a fossil fuel.
Theorotical value can be calculated using the results of ultimate analysis of coal . Based on the GCV of combustible value of coal.
