I don't think there are any advantages of the English System over Metric but I guess the English system is more of a tradition and there are more ways to measure things, Spoons, feet.....etc. :) That is all I can think of.
It is a democratic system. It has a constitution in place that protectsit's self from theexcesses that popular opinion can bring about. the government does not have direct input into the Court's people have the right to be be religious/superstitious or not in any form they wish in a manner that does not interfere others. point of view can be stated openly and without fear other then others being able to state their opposing points of view. Compare this to the sort of treatment one would find in country's like Saudi Arabia or North Korea and you will see the good in it. Keep in mind that the most prosperous country's in the world have society's whose operation relies on this basic system.
This is a simplistic explanation and could be greatly expanded upon.

This depends on which context you are using 'does good' in. For example, if you said that a person 'does good' things, it would be grammatically correct. But if you said someone 'does good' without inferring that they are doing good THINGS, and not just GOOD, then it would not be using correct English. Isn't the English language confusing at times?!? :)

A English and Metric System.
Well they are both used to measure things. Meters are the metric system and feet are the English system.
