Actually, your question is imprecise. there are five: initial observation, hypothesis, experimentation, data, analysis, and conclusion. If you absolutely need to have just three, then hypothesis, experiment, and conclusion is... best. :)
Theory then expriments and then conclusion.
ask a question,form a hypothesis,test the hypothesis, draw a conclusions
1) Find/Develop the question that must be answered.
2) Study all related academic literature and other credited studies/observances.
3) Answer the question and theorize.
gravity is one
There are actually 6 steps to the scientific method! Them Being:State the ProblemGather Background InformationMake your HypothesisDo your ExperimentRecord and Analyze your DataState your Conclusion
The first three steps in scientific inquiry are related in that they are all equivalent to being on a fact finding mission. The three steps are to find or develop the question that must be answered, to study all related academic literature on the subject, and then to make a guess as to what the answer is.
1) Ask and define the question. 2) Gather information and resources through observation. 3) Form a hypothesis.
Scientific Method:1. Make an observation.2. Ask a question.3. Make a hypothesis.4. Conduct an experiment.5. Draw conclusions.6. Share your results.7. Do other experiments done by others agree?8. Yes or no?9. if no, do again.
Step 1: Ask a question/Make obsevations Step 2: Propose a hypothesis Step 3: Test the hypothesis through experimentation
The scientific method of inquiry has three basic steps: Observe Question/hypothesize Experiment.

The first three steps of the scientific method are the hypothesis, prediction and testing. You hypothesis is what your educated guess about the experiment. Your prediction is what you think will happen and the testing is actually performing the experiment.
