Critical Thinking
Critical thinking means thinking/working hard. It's kind of like a bonus
question.
+==
That misses the point: critical thinking may be hard but is really objective, analytical thinking. It asks questions such as: Have I calibrated my instruments? Have I measured everything correctly? Have I considered all sources of error, or overlooked something? Have I studied others' work in the same area? It is NOT a bonus, not like a bonus, not even kind of like one. It is basic scientific approach.
an important science skill is critical thinking which means what ?
Critical thinking is important to science because most of the times the answer is not a given. The outcome becomes unpredictable and thinking things through helps in the understanding of how and why such things occur in nature.
This type of thinking can be described as critical, or skeptical, or logical thinking.
Critical
Critical thinking is important in all aspects of life. It is critical to science because science only progresses, in the simplest terms, by uncovering the patterns underlying the materials and processes of nature. Loosely speaking, critical thinking requires one to drop biases, prejudices and assumptions for the simple reason that these can all lead one to the wrong conclusion. The scientific method: Hypothesis to Experiments to Data to Theory requires the clearest thinking and the recognition of underlying assumptions. In other words, critical thinking.

critical thinking?
Yes, I believe in the findings of science as they are based on evidence, research, and critical thinking.
Sort of but it is more about deciding what IS critical to a situation.
People that excel in mathematics and science are not a threat. However, if you mean "traits", then people that excel at math and science are generally inquisitive, critical thinking, analytical, and very good at paying attention to detail.
The science word "key" means important or critical.
Analysis is an element of critical thinking.
There are no set fundamental principles, but I would say personally experimentation, experimentation, and critical thinking.
