If plants did not spread oxygen then the people would die off. We as human beings need oxygen to live. Plants need Carbon Dioxide. We give off Carbon Dioxide for them to breath in and they breath out oxygen which we breath in. so really plants and humans play important roles in eachothers life and wouldn't survive without each other.

∙ 11y agoMost plants produce oxygen by photosynthesis. They do not use oxygen itself for survival, but use carbon dioxide and water to produce sugar and oxygen. Some plants such as yeasts and fungi use sugar and water to produce carbon dioxide and alcohols anaerobically (without air).
