Your blood transports Oxygen and nutrients around the body and removes waste gases. White blood cells help fight infection and Platelets help with clotting amongst other things. Your organs would fail and you would die.

∙ 12y agoAn individual with no blood would die in a very short period of time. Unconsciousness would occur in seconds, and death would follow within minutes.
Your blood caries oxygen to the rest of your body. Without blood your cells would basically suffocate.

6 hours i believe is the standard before having blood work. I've sometimes cheated with an apple juice, but in general you should drink only water, and dont over hydrate! this could thin the blood just enough to disrupt testing.
There are many ways. Here are a few: First, obviously, you can not breathe and there would be no air in your lungs. Carbon Monoxide, a deadly gas, can bind to the blood where oxygen is supposed to blind. If you have sickle cell anemia, the hemoglobin in your blood is strangely shaped and therefore oxygen cannot easily bind to it.
