After waving a lot to the cameras it was time to open the parachute and float down the remaining 5000 ft. Andre opened the chute and manouvered it around a lot to show me the view. He even gave me the controls of the parachute for a while. We landed after 5-6 minutes of parachuting down.http://babayaga.sulekha.com/blog/post/2007/12/free-falling-at-13-000-feet.htm

What are examples of free fall?

An object dropped from a height without any initial velocity, a skydiver falling towards the ground before deploying their parachute, and a rock falling off a cliff are all examples of free fall.

Why a person without a parachute falls fast than a person without a parachute falling from same height?

if there is no air then both will take same time. But due to presence of air person who is without parachute will take less time.

How do you parachute on battlefield 3?

What altitude does a plane reach before a skydiver jumps?

Typically, a plane reaches an altitude of around 10,000 to 15,000 feet before a skydiver jumps. This height allows for a safe freefall duration and adequate time for the parachute to deploy. Some experienced skydivers may jump from higher altitudes, such as 18,000 feet or more, to extend their freefall experience.

What energy does a skydiver lose as they fall?

A skydiver loses potential energy as they fall, which is converted to kinetic energy as their velocity increases. The loss of potential energy is due to the decrease in height as the skydiver descends towards the ground.

What height do you have to deploy a parachute?

How does height dropped from affect a parachute?

What are the examples of freely falling bodies?

Examples of freely falling bodies include an apple falling from a tree, a skydiver jumping out of a plane, and a rock dropped from a cliff. These objects fall under the influence of gravity with only the force of gravity acting upon them.

A skydiver loses which type of potential energy as she falls?

She loses gravitational potential energy.

What kind of energy does a skydiver falling use?

A skydiver falling uses kinetic energy, which is the energy associated with its motion. As the skydiver descends, the potential energy stored in the height from which they jumped is converted into kinetic energy.

A skydiver with a mass of 60 kg jumps out of an airplane at a height 5000 m The acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m s2 What is the gravitational potential energy of the skydiver?

The gravitational potential energy of the skydiver can be calculated using the formula: GPE = mass * gravity * height. Plugging in the values, GPE = 60 kg * 9.8 m/s2 * 5000 m = 2,940,000 J. So, the gravitational potential energy of the skydiver is 2,940,000 Joules.
