It really depends on the person. There are countless people who need hearing aids, glasses, can't taste certain tastes, etc. It also depends on how much (if any at all) nerve damage has been done to the body, and/or how well the person's nerves developed in the womb of their mother. --- Compared to animals, human sight, hearing, taste, and smell are not outstanding. But man's sense of touch has a greater capacity because of its connection to the higher functions of his brain. An insect or mammal could tell by touch whether something was short or tall, light or heavy, soft or hard, hot or cold, liquid or solid. But a human could combine this information to create an entire description of the object touched, and possibly identify it, comparing it to similar features found on physical objects. In the case of languages, man has modified touch to create language (Braille). (Of course, the other four senses benefit from reasoning as well, when we investigate and analyze sights, sounds, and smells.) ---
