How does the jet on a jet plane makes the plane move?

The exhaust gases from combustion create thrust which pushed the plane in the other direction

There are many black triangular aircraft flying over british airspace at night. What are these aircraft are they possibly top secret variations of the stealth bomber with sophisticated engine system?

The triangular aircraft is B-2 stealth bomber originally patent by United states It is not a secret operation but these type of aircrafts are in use since long time Its been almost moe than six to seven years that they have been recruited for the service. It has advanced systems and specialized for tactical operations.

How much faster is a plane than a car?

Depends on which 'small' planes you are talking about! Generally light/small aircraft are operated with a piston engine(s) similar to the ones you will find in your car. As they are still fairly fast, an airline aircraft is much more quicker due to its jet engines. Furthermore, military combat aircraft are MUCH MUCH MORE faster than airline aircraft simply because of their lightweight and GI-NORMOUS thrust their jet engines produce. When you see them doing loops etc. they're throwing aerodynamics out the window and letting their over-powered engines do the work! Hope this helped.

Did the airplane lead up to other inventions?

no --- Yes airlons, Flaps and rudders were invented to replace the wing warping method employed by the Wright brothers. Yes. The Germans invented the Pulse jet engine during WWII to power the V2 flying bomb which was a form of aircraft. Hot air balloons not only lead on to more conventional aircraft that we would recognise today, but also the high heat burners were created to lift the balloons. Yes. The Turbojet engine invented by the Englishman Sir Frank Whittle was specifically invented to power an aircraft. Yes. Rockets are a form of craft which travel in air and therefore are aircraft. The rocket engines designed to propel aircraft in WWII were later used to power rockets for the space race during the 60's lead by Werner Von Brown who lead the design team for the NAZI V1 and V2 rocket. Space travel is a derivative of aircraft design. The Japanese and Germans used rocket engines to give boost to lift off heavy bombers. Streamlining to reduce drag caused by wind turbulence which was invented for aircraft was later used to reduce drag on all manner of machines, cars & Motorcycles, for instance. It was even used as a style option in the 50s on cars that had no need for drag reduction.
