What is brachydactly?

Brachydactly or brachdactyly is a hereditary disorder through which the child inherits smaller digits of both hands (compared to avergae length of digits) from one parent. In some cases, the child may inherit smaller toes also from one parent. The utility of the hands or toes is not diminished in most cases.
