Unbalanced Forces will try to create Motion (Kinetic Energy), balanced Forces do not result in Motion. Gravity, Inertia, and Friction will all try to resist the Motion of the object....unless the Force is in the direction of the Gravitational attraction, then the affect is additive.
gravity is definitely a balanced force
Gravity. The inertia of an object will keep it moving until an opposing force stops it.Friction.Called inertia. To accelerate a body the force is mass times acceleration. No force = no acceleration. People say " the force is opposed by the massacceleration"
The result is friction.
The three contact forces is push or pull or friction & the non contact force is gravity & magnitism.
When you first throw a ball inertia is the main property. Inertia is the tendency of objects in motion to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Those outside forces are air friction and gravity. Without those forces the ball would keep traveling forever in the direction it was going when it first left your hand. Air friction will slow it down so when the ball is caught (or lands) it is traveling slightly slower than when you first threw it. Gravity is the force that pulls it back down to Earth (or you can think of it as the force that gives it that nice arc).
gravity is definitely a balanced force
-- "Inertia" is not a force. -- There is no such thing as a single balanced force or a single unbalanced force.
The mechanical advantage of the pulley system is the inertia and friction of the unbalanced and balanced forces acting on the mechanical advantage which is part of the pulley system....

Describe how gravity inertia and friction play a role in throwing a ball
Inertia, friction, gravity
Friction has 100% nothing to do this the Earths orbit, its gravity and inertia.
gravity and friction along with inertia
Inertia, gravity, friction.
