Even though cytokinesis is at the end of the M-phase, mitosis actually ends with telophase. (Genetic material sorted into two poles, nuclear envelope re-forms, centrosome on opposite sides of cell, cell elongates).

Mitosis occurs in 6 phases, the last of which is telophase, followed by cytokinesis. During telophase, two daughter nuclei form in the cell, nuclear envelops arise from the fragments for the parent cell's nuclear envelope, nucleoli reappear, the chromosomes become less condensed, and mitosis is complete. Cytokinesis in animal cells causes the formation of the cleavage furrow, which pinches the cell in two; in plants, the cell is divided by the formation of the cell plate.

(The 6 phases of mitosis include G2 of Interphase, Prophase, Prometaphase, Metaphase, Anaphase and Telophase.)

A cell with 18 chromosomes enters mitosis At the end of mitosis there will be?

It will have 18 chromosomes at the end of mitosis.

When does mitosis begins and end?

The first phase of mitosis is prophase. The last phase of mitosis is telophase.

What kind of cells are produced at the end end of Mitosis?

At the end of mitosis the cell is called a Diploid cell. it has all the genetic information.

In cell cycle where mitosis occurs?

Mitosis (cell division) is complete at the end of the telophase.

What are the 4 steps of Mitosis and what is the end result of Mitosis?

The 4 steps are prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. The end result for mitosis is telophase, but if you are talking about the cell cycle it would be cytokinesis.

Mitosis begins with one cell How many cells are formed by the end of mitosis?

What is the number of cells formed at the end of mitosis?

There are 2 cells formed by the end of mitosis and they are called daughter cells. Prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase are the 4 stages of mitosis.

How many cells are formed at the end of mitosis?

Mitosis is the cell cycle phase wherein the cell nucleus chromosomes are separated. After mitosis, two identical cells will be created.

What is the finished product of mitosis?

Mitosis is simply the cloning of the original cell. So the final product of mitosis is just a clone of the original cell.

How many cells do you end up with after mitosis and meiosis?

After mitosis you have two cells and after meiosis you have 4 cells.

How many cells do you produce at the end of mitosis?

Mitosis produces two genetically identical daughter cells.

What is the end result difference between mitosis and meiosis?

Mitosis = doubling of chromosomes. Meiosis = halving of chromosomes.
