A glitch is when an electrical circuit does something it was not meant to do. Glitches are often mistaken for bugs my game players. A bug is an error in the coding of a game or program, a mistake by the developers. Bugs can be predicated and repeated. Glitches are totally random and unexpected. They CANNOT be performed or repeated. If you can turn on a game, follow a few steps and the end result will predictable... It is NOT a glitch. A glitch occurs when the electrical circuit does something wrong. An example would be sending a signal to a part of the circuit where it was not suppose to be or when an electrical circuit skips over (ignores) a piece of data that throws the whole game out of wack. A bug is when the programmer fails to program the game correctly. Like if a programmer accidentally forgot to make a wall solid and the player can walk straight through it, that is a bug. And example OF a glitch would be when I was playing an old Snes game known as Secret of Mana, or Seiken Densetsu 2 to some people. When I started up the game, something very unexpected happened; My character was morphed into a snowman and all my weapons changed into various armors and even magic attacks(Also, my money gauge was a bunch of graphical errors). When I went to save the game froze up. There is no way of repeating this glitch because it was a random fault inside the Snes that caused it. Glitches cannot be stopped completely, however better technology has made glitches less likely. Older games tend to have more glitches, depending on how much data the game is sending around and how the software was designed. I hope you find this explanation much more useful than the last one you got.
