A charm quark is an elementary particle with an electrical charge of +2⁄3 e. It's a second generation up-type quark and has a mass of about 1.5 GeV/c2.
Inside the nucleus there are protons and nutrons.further these consist of baryons.which contan three valence anti quarks.quarks are small dense objects moving around protons and neutrons. protons consist of 2 up quarks and one down quark.quarks are surrounded by gluons. neutrons consist of two down quark and one up quark. the decay of nutron is associated with quark transformation,in which down quark is converted to an up quark by weak attraction.
The heaviest element that is highly radioactive is Ununoctium, which has an atomic number of 118.
There are particles that weigh less than a quark, such as an electron, a neutrino, etc. But in terms of the volume of space that they occupy, no particle is smaller than a quark. Note that the concept of occupying space does not work exactly the same way on sub-atomic scales as it does on larger scales, due to quantum dynamic factors.Nothing, a quark is an infinitesimal point particle (as are photons, leptons, and neutrinos). Nothing can be smaller than a point.
I think the "Top" quark is probably the heaviest, which has a mass about that of 170 hydrogen atoms.
The final quark, the Top Quark, was discovered in 1995 at FermiLab.
Protons and neutrons are roughly 1800 times heavier then electrons.
