The urethra is a tube that connects the bladder to the outside of the body, allowing for the excretion of urine. In males, it also serves as a passage for semen during ejaculation. The length and function of the urethra differ between genders, being longer in males than in females. Its main role is crucial for urinary and reproductive health.
