that isn't easy to answer as a "pack" of index cards can be 50 or more cards. The cards can be different thicknesses as well. how ever, if the thickness of the pack is known then the volume can be determined.
for every 1/16 inch of pack thickness the volume is 15/16th cubic inch which converts to cubic centimeters by multiplying by 16.39 cc/ci to 15.36 cc
so every 1/16 inch thickness = 15.36 cc

That depends what aspect of the glass of water you want to measure: its height, its volume, its mass, its index of refraction, etc.
You have to give the units for the conversion in order to get a good answer. Otherwise you can get all sorts of correct but useless answers. For example:1 US tablespoon = 1.81633717 × 10-12 cubic furlongsI suspect you want an answer in a more common unit. Perhaps one of these will be appropriate:1 US tablespoon = 0.90234375 cubic inches1 US tablespoon = 0.5 US fluid ounces1 US tablespoon = 14.7867648 ml

An IG Index is used in the United Kingdom. It is used for spread betting for a large range of financial markets. Ig Index is overseen by the Financial Services Authority.
12 cubed
It will depend on the number of cards. If the package is 1 inch thick, the volume would be 15 cubic inches.
As a potato is mostly water and a gram of water has a volume of 1 cubic centimeter, a 4 gram potato would have a volume close to 4 cubic centimeters. This is smaller than most people's index finger. I don't think potatoes this small are sold in stores.
No.
You can get cheap index cards at online sites such as Amazon and eBay. If you buy them in bulk, you will get a cheaper price. You can also find index cards at office supply stores such as Staples and Office Depot.
Since it's rectangular, you simply need to multiply the length, width, and height. This will give you the volume. I guess you know what a centimeter looks like, and what 10 centimeters look like. Personally, I would probably use my hand, and check how many times the distance between my thumb and index fits on the box, since it's about 15 centimeters. Either that, or the width of my thumb, which is about 2 centimeters. But with the thumb you're going to be spending a while, so you might as well take the 1 minute and go look through your stuff to find your measuring tape. I think that approximations are very easy to do though, so you don't even need that. Just say that the box has about 50 centimeters in height, 30 centimeters in length, and 10 centimeters in width. So that gives you 15000 centimeters cube, which sounds very close to the actual volume.
The online store Bulk Office Supply sells index cards at really cheap prices. The store also has many different size and color index cards to choose from available.
Index cards are used for note keeping, such as a school oral report. Write short things that you have to say.
I use index cards to study my vocabulary.
Because they are commonly used to make indexes for topics. ie. You would use "index" cards to make an alphabetical index of all the books you've read, guys you've date, etc.
