Aside from a basic understanding of mechanical stresses and such that can lead to an animal being injured, an understanding of the basic elements of physics (especially electromagnetism and atomic physics) helps vets understand the medical technology they use in the everyday course of their jobs. For example, understanding what x-rays are goes a long way towards understanding how an x-ray machine works.
To be a vet you need to go to university for 7 years and study animal science and if you want to own your own vetinary surgery you need to study buisness
