A good scientific experiment is when you have one or two things and you keep one the same and make the other have a difference:

example:

You have two plants. you want to know which fertilizer makes them grow taller. So you buy Super fertilizer and Dan's Fertilizer. you put both fertilizers on the different plants so plant one has Super fertilizer and plant two has Dan's fertilizer. you keep the amount of water, sunlight, soil and ECT the same.
