first off, theNile does not flood anymore. it has been controlled by a dam that now makes Lake NASA.
but if the Nile did not flood during ancient Egypt times the villages and cities would of had to find another source of food or starve, because the Nile provided them with rich, fertile soil to grow their crops and if it didn't flood they would not of been able to grow as much food as per normal.
floods happen all the time it is consistently flooding around the world
Cairo, Egypt
Yes, the Awsan Dam is located in Aswan which is situated along the river.
Dam if I know. Sorry couldn't resist. It is a dam that crosses rivers to control the water flow. Dam's come in all sizes, shapes, and materials. One of the largest dams in the world is the Aswan dam that crosses the Nile River. It's a huge edifice made of cement and steel. Probably the smallest dams are the ones built by beavers. They use gnawed off branches and trees to block up small streams. Lots of man-made dams are built to provide hydro-electric power for the regional area. Hoover Dam in Nevada USA is such a dam. Others are built to provide flood control so that areas downstream don't get flooded out during heavy rainstorms for example. The Aswan Dam is both a flood control and power providing dam.
Adult male saltwater crocodile's weight is 600 to 1000 kilograms (1300-2200 lb) and length is normally 4.1 to 5.5 metres (13-18 ft). Freshwater crocodiles a male would weigh 60 kg and a female would weigh about 30kg. A large Nile crocodile which may weigh more than 900 kg (2000 lb.).
Astronomers could predict when the nile river would flood because they studied the stars and they saw that at the time that the stars got to a certain point that the nile river would flood at that time
The Nile River floods every year.
Because the torrent of water would carry sediment, as does any flood, and this would be deposited when the Nile overflowed its banks.
They kept a record of it and depended on the flooding.
egypt... where else would it flood:)
Yes it does. It floods every year.
The Nile River flooded annually
They did not, it was natural. The River Nile flooded every year between June and September, in a season the Egyptians called akhet - the inundation

The Nile's flooding wasn't constant. Sometimes it would flood too much, other times it would flood too little. The Egyptians were taxed based on the flood levels.
The River Nile flooded every year between June and September. However with the construction of the Aswan Dam it meant that from 1970 the annual flood is controlled.
It was Hapi since he is the god of the Nile but some say that it was from coincidence................ no it isn't
