Given that there are different definitions of Public and Private schools, let's use this definition: Public means open to all students in a community and funded by the government entity. Private means they cna restrict as they desire and students that attend are either paying tuition or receiving scholarships. All statements are general and not necessarily applicable in all areas and places. If you are talking strictly about race and ethnicity, the public school is typically going to be more diverse. Some private schools for gifted students in music or whatever attract people from all over the world, and so they will be more diverse. If you are talking about other sorts of diversities, in personality, in talent, in learning styles, in levels of creativity, or in differences on the introvert to extrovert spectrum... probably about the same. But if the Private school has entrance criteria, you will typically find that they are smarter on average. In income levels, public school is normally going to be more diverse, but that various greatly based on the community. A school in a wealthy community may have all upper class students. They are also likely to be heavily centered on the types of people that live in a community. So the diversity in a public school is going to pretty much match that of the community it is in. In test scores, public schools are usually going to be much more diverse, a private school with strict entrance requirements is going to have a much smaller standard deviation.

It depends on your criteria. If "better" is defined as "cheaper" than public education is the way to go. All tax paying members of society chip in to give you and your kids an education.

But generally speaking, the consensus is that a child will receive more individual attention, use better equipment and be more challenged at a private school. No one would pay for private school if it was viewed as inferior.

Here's an article on why one would consider a private school in the Related Link below.

Private schools tend to cost more, but can provide one on one learnig, and a public school is not as much cost but has larger classroom.

Are you serious??? Private schools are a huge waste of money!!!

Is it hard to make public school teams than private school teams?

It is much harder to make a public school team than private school because the private school has less people to try out so you have a better chance to make private school than public. There is also the aspect that many "all-star" players think that playing for a big high school will help them get looked at by colleges, so private schools are easier to make.
