Newton's second law in words is the force is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by it's acceleration, and is represented by F=ma where;

F is the force (N)

m is the mass of the object (Kg)

a is the acceleration of the object (ms^-2)

Therefore, when a force of 1N is applied to an object of mass 1kg it will produce an acceleration of 1ms^-2 (a=F/m)
