Why some societies develop faster than others?

Part of it can be attributed to culture, but the main catalyst for European societies developing faster than the rest of the world can be most attributed to geography. Back when all humans were hunter-gatherers after the ice age ended, people started to develop agriculture, realizing that growing their own food was more efficient than gathering it. While most of the world had a few random things that they could grow, an area in the modern-day middle-east had some huge advantages. One, they had wheat and barley there which could be stored and grown easily (as opposed to other areas of the world where their crops would go bad quickly and took more labor to plant). The other advantage is that there were animals there that they could use; namely cows and horses, which could be used for meat, milk, oil, twine, and they could plow fields. The main advantages to these animals over others is that they ate the parts of the wheat and barely that couldn't be consumed by humans, they reproduced quickly, and they got along with humans. Other areas of the world didn't have animals like this, so farming involved a lot more man-power. Eventually people migrated east into Europe and brought these plants and animals along with them. While in other parts of the world, most of the society had to be devoted to farming, in European areas, 10% of the community could produce enough crop to feed everyone, giving more people time to develop steel and guns, which they used to conquer other areas of the world. They quickly became richer and developed faster than any other area of the world.
