A teacher may use anything except fissile or large amounts of highly radioactive material to teach science. This includes worms, frogs, dead cats, and sharks often used to teach high school biology, or various chemicals to teach chemistry. Wire, batteries, magnets, and so on can demonstrate principles of electronics. A globe is handy when discussing geography, and it can also be used to illustrate concepts from astronomy.

Not usually. Usually a master's is required just to teach at the high school level. There are some exceptions to this rule.... but not many. College science professors usually always have a Ph.D. This can be different for other fields like business, where a Ph.D is not always necessary to teach at the college level.
You can talk to the teacher first asking him or her to change their way of teach. If this does not work try talking to the principal or the school board about this.
The purpose of a science fair is to teach you to do research and our answering your question won't teach you this skill that you need to know as you go through school. I know your science book gives this answer along with other resources, but our doing your work for you wont help you.
