Light is an electromagnetic phenomena. it is made of up waves of energy vibrating at certain frequencies. The different frequencies of light have different wavelengths. The different wavelengths of light have different colours associated with them. All the wavelenghts together produce the white appearance of light.

An Object would appear white because it reflects all the colors of the visible light spectrum. Don't say "because that's it's color" Because your Science Teacher wont accept it (:

Where the atmosphere contains a lot of particles of dust and other particles, the light of the lower frequencies is also scattered stronly. This makes the sky less blue, and appear white

What colour is a red object when cyan light shines on it?

If the light source is truly cyan, the red object should appear black. The object is red because it reflects the red portion of the white light spectrum. With no red wavelengths available to be reflected, the object will have a lack of color (i.e., black).

Why is an object black or white?

Objects appear in color because they reflect that color. Tree leaves appear green brcause they reflect green (and transmit green) so you know they don't need green light to grow. White lights contains all colors. A white object reflects most of them. A black object reflects very little light, so it appears black. Obviously with all that energy being absorbed, the temperature must rise, and that is true.

Why the object appear when you put the object in front of mirror?

light bounces off an object and on to the miorror surface where it is then reflected at the same wavelength as it was casted on to there with

If an object is moving to the left at a constant speed and your eyes are rotating to the left at twice the speed how will you see the object?

The object will appear to be moving to the right in your visual field. This is because your visual field is moving to the left faster than the object is moving to the left. What you will see is that the object will appear in your visual field on the left, and the object will move across your visual field to the right.

What does model mean science term?

Why do object appear white?

A white object emits light in all/most of the visible spectrum evenly.Because it reflects all the light back.

Why does black color appear black while white color appear white?

A black object absorbs light- black is actually an ABSENCE of light. White, on the other hand, REFLECTS all colors- which, when blended, produces white.

What colour will an object appear to be under white light if it absorbs all the colours of light?

it will be black

Why does not white light when falls on objects makes them appear as black or white?

Many objects do appear black or white when light falls on them. If they are black, it means that the object is absorbing all wavelengths of visible light and not reflecting any. If they are white, it means that they are reflecting all wavelengths of visible light and not absorbing any. The color of an object is due to the wavelengths of light that it reflects.

How do colored objects look under colored lights?

If the light is or contains the colour the object it is striking, then the object will appear to be the colour it originally is. If the light is not or does not contain the colour the object it is striking, then object will appear black. This is because an object will only reflect the light that is the same colour as it, all other light is absorbed. For example: Red, yellow, magenta, and white light will make a red object appear red as they all contain red light. Blue, green and cyan light will make a red object appear black.

What color does an object appear if all of the colors are reflected?

White is the presence of all color, black is the absence of color

What color filter would you need to look at a red object through to make it appear white?

You really can't do exactly what you want. The closest you can get is to view an ENTIRE SCENE including this red object using a red filter, with the scene brightly illuminated (with either red or white light). Then your visual system will have no basis to assign the color red to this red object and it will appear as a shade of gray (to black or white, depending on how much light is absorbed by this object).

What colour would white shoes appear under a yellow disco light?

white shoes appear white because it reflects all 7 colours of white light when fallen on to it.Therefore if only yellow light is fallen on to this object it would give out light rays which are yellow in colour . so shoes would appear yellow.
