Explain why substances with hig specific heats take longer to heat up than substances wit the same mass which have low specific heats?

Type your answer here... A substance with high specific heat means it can absorb alot more heat energy before its temperature increases. A substance with low specific heat cannot absorb alot of heat energy so its temperature increases quickly because it cant absorb the heat. Remember there is a difference between Heat energy and Temperature. The ocean can absorb alot of heat energy but still feel like its cold in temperature. The tip of a needle can be at 1000 degrees temperature but there is hardly any actual heat energy in it because its so small.

How do you read gauge in fridge?

To read the gauge in a refrigerator, locate the temperature dial or digital display, usually found inside the fridge or on the control panel. For a dial, check the indicator needle's position against the numbered scale; the ideal temperature is typically between 35°F and 38°F (1.6°C to 3.3°C). If it's a digital display, simply note the temperature shown, ensuring it falls within the recommended range. Adjust the temperature accordingly if it's outside this range.

Where should the temperature needle be for normal temp for a 2005 ford ranger truck?

For a 2005 Ford Ranger, the temperature needle should generally be positioned in the middle of the gauge when the engine is at normal operating temperature. This typically occurs after the vehicle has been running for a while, allowing the engine to warm up. If the needle is consistently in the red zone or below the cold mark, it may indicate a problem with the cooling system or temperature sensor. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific guidance regarding your vehicle's temperature gauge.

Needle stock behind the stopper on temperature gauge?

The needle stock behind the stopper on a temperature gauge typically indicates the maximum temperature reached by the gauge, serving as a visual reference for monitoring temperature changes. When the temperature exceeds a certain level, the needle moves and can become stuck due to thermal expansion or a malfunction. To reset or adjust the gauge, it may be necessary to carefully manipulate the stopper or recalibrate the gauge according to the manufacturer's instructions. Regular maintenance can prevent this issue and ensure accurate temperature readings.

Why is a sharp needle used instead of a blunt needle in a syringe?

Think about this for a minute and you'll figure it out! Which would hurt less when it went into your skin? Something sharp goes in quickly and easily, but a blunt needle would be harder to get through the skin.
