Omnivores do not only eat plants. The word omnivore comes from the latin omne, meaning "everything" + vorare, meaning "to devour." This indicates that omnivores like to eat everything. This is not completely true, as you won't often find an omnivore chowing down on a laser beam or a comet. It does mean that they will stop at nothing to devour both the animal and plant forms of life that it finds to be tasty.
