Like in a Hygrometer to measure humidity you use percentage (%)
The ordinary thermodynamic temperature of the air, what you would measure with a regular thermometer. This is in contrast to the wet bulb temperature, which is the temperature reached by a wet surface. A classical weather station uses a sling hygrometer to measure the two. This is a pair of thermometers, one of which has a wet covering, something like a sock that can be dipped in water. By measuring both of these the humidity can be determined. Temperature of the free air as measured with a dry thermometer on a sling psychrometer over a grassy surface at a height of approximately 6 feet (1.8 meters).
The Ballista - The Ballista was similar to a Giant Crossbow and worked by using tensionThe Trebuchet - The massive Trebuchet consisted of a lever and a sling and was capable of hurling stones weighing 200 pounds with a range of up to about 300 yardsThe Mangonel - Missiles were launched from a bowl-shaped bucket at the end of the one giant arm of the MangonelThe Springald - A type of BallistaThe Onager - A type of Mangonel
A sling psychrometer (which is a hygrometer) measures the moisture content of the atmosphere surrounding it. It is called a sling psychrometer because it is whirled around in the air until a constant value/reading is obtained from the wet-bulb thermometer.
It is swung through the air to speed up evaporation of water from the wet bulb thermometer.
The unit for a sling psychrometer is degrees Celsius (°C) for measuring air temperature and percentage (%) for measuring relative humidity.

It measures humidity
The sling psychrometer was invented in 1887 by Adolph Richard Assmann, a German meteorologist. It is a simple instrument used to measure the relative humidity of the air.

There are a lot of places to buy a sling psychrometer. Any company which sells scientific equipment should have them, or one could buy it from Amazon or Bacharach.
One of the better ways would be to use a sling psychrometer.
Distilled water is used with a sling psychrometer because it ensures that there are no impurities or minerals that could affect the accuracy of the instrument. Impurities in water could lead to inaccurate readings when measuring humidity levels. Using distilled water helps maintain the sensitivity and reliability of the psychrometer.
To use a psychrometer, follow these steps: Wet the wick or sling of the psychrometer with distilled water. Swing the psychrometer in the air for a few minutes to allow evaporation to take place. Read the dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures from the psychrometer. Use these readings to calculate the relative humidity using a psychrometric chart or formula.
