The simplest way is to go to your local parts store, and buy a can of carb and choke cleaner. Start spraying this around the vacume lines, intake area, and manifolds. If there is a vacume leak, it will suck in the carb cleaner, and the engine RPM will change, and you might even be able to hear the engine stutter.

Srart with replace vacuve lines on engine. At the front of vans, as you open the hood there is a round plastic vacume chamber. It is easy for the vacume line the come off there. There are "vacume engines" that make use of the vacume to open the doors. These can wear out. Mine has always been vacume lines either broken or disconnected.
