There are so many causes of urbanization. The main cause is movement of people from rural areas in such for employment in cities and towns.
Rapid urbanization can lead to the depopulation of rural areas as people move to cities in search of better opportunities. This can result in a decline in rural infrastructure, services, and economic activity. Additionally, urbanization may also lead to the conversion of agricultural land for urban development, which can impact food production and rural livelihoods.
Urbanisation usually leads to disaster in the long term if the government takes the wrong path. From the people's perspective, urbanisation actually does not cause a lot of harm, but that is in the short term. When unrbanisation takes place, large areas are cleared to build roads and buildings. Trees will be cut down if urbanisation takes place in a forest, and this will not only cause deforestation but also habitat loss. All these contribute to global warming. Then, when more and more people move into the city, there will be an increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions, as there will be more cars, factories etc. and less trees. As the city grows, more area have to be cleared for expansion, causing more harm to the environment. If this continues for a long time, the area will soon become very polluted and the ecology there will become very limited. However, some cities such as Singapore have adopted the 'Garden City' style of urban planning, where the government grow trees around the city so that there will be more greenery as well as less pollution, benefiting in the long term.
Physical causes refer to factors or events that have a tangible or measurable impact on a situation. These causes can be related to physical properties such as force, energy, or matter, and can lead to observable changes or outcomes in the environment.
That's an unusual question as stated. Certainly, the Sun causes the temperature to rise, which, in turn, causes increases in wind velocity and, in some cases, thunderstorms. You might also argue that the sun causes plants to rise, in a manner of speaking.
