Glacial landscapes are typically characterized by U-shaped valleys, sharp ridges, and moraines deposited by glaciers. Water-formed landscapes, on the other hand, exhibit features like V-shaped valleys, meandering rivers, and deltas. Glacial landscapes often have more angular and rugged terrain compared to the smoother and more rounded features of water-formed landscapes.
A glacial valley is formed by the movement of glaciers, which carve out deep U-shaped valleys with steep sides and flat bottoms. A river valley, on the other hand, is formed by the erosion of flowing water over time, resulting in V-shaped valleys with narrower bottoms and less steep sides. Glacial valleys generally have a more pronounced U-shape and are wider compared to river valleys.
A stream valley typically has a V-shape, while a glacial valley has a U-shape. This difference in shape is due to the different erosional processes involved. Stream valleys are eroded mainly by flowing water, while glacial valleys are shaped by the movement of glaciers that scrape and pluck rock and sediment.
A deep narrow passage between mountains is called a canyon. Canyons are formed over thousands of years by erosion from flowing water, creating breathtaking natural landscapes.
Landscapes in arid climates typically have sparse vegetation, rugged terrain, and limited water sources. In contrast, landscapes in humid climates tend to be lush with dense vegetation, rolling hills, and abundant water sources like rivers and lakes. The soil in arid climates is often dry and nutrient-poor, whereas in humid climates it is typically fertile due to regular rainfall.
The different colors of the surface of the globe typically represent different geographical features such as land, water, forests, deserts, and mountains. These colors help to distinguish between different regions and highlight the diversity of landscapes on Earth. Many globes use shades of green for land areas, blue for water bodies, and brown for mountainous regions.

I think it's because of water flowing and creating crevasses in the rock.
Glacial grooves forms when rocks set over time with water running over them. These rocks can form in different looks.
A mineral is defined as a non-organic solid with a definite composition and crystal structure and which formed by natural processes. Glacial ice and salt meet all of these criteria. Sugar, however, is organic while water is a liquid and lacks a crystal structure.
Glacial erosion is caused by ice, while water erosion is caused by liquid water.
The debris of boulders eroded and carried down by glaciers will eventually form moraines (mounds) where the front of the glacier melts and retreats, leaving the debris behind. Moraines can be high and wide enough to form a dam, behind which glacial melt water is trapped and lakes are formed.
Not long they were formed at the end of the last ice age by a sudden torrential outpouring of glacial melt water....a few months.
