Actually it's Idaho. If you follow the lines of Latitude, Idaho has a more northern point, as does Montana, Washington, North Dakota, Michigan and Minnesota. Minnesota has the most northern point - The Northwest Angle. I think Maine is 7th as far as North goes - but it does win the furthest east title.
