A population is a group of organisms belonging to the same species that live in the same area and interact with one another. A community is all of the populations of different species that live in the same area and interact with one another. A community is composed of all of the biotic factors of an area.
I would say a large city is a population made up of many communities inside the city and more communities extending to its metro area. A community is a set of people with some shared interests and identity that live in the same area (community). A population is a number of people, regardless of community, living within a set boundary.
In a colony a localized population of individuals of the same species which are living either attached or separately but in a aggregation it's a group of organisms of the same or different species living closely together but less integrated than a society

COMMUNITY: the populations of different species that interact in some way are called a community. POPULATION: all of the individuals of one species that live in the same area at that same time make up a population.

A population is defined as:"A group of individuals of one species that live in a particular geographic area."A community is defined as:"All the organisms that inhabit a particular area; an assemblage of populations of different species living close enough together for potential interaction."The difference being that the population consists of just a signal species, and the community consists of a group of species and their interactions.
a population is how many things are in one area and a community is were people live and there environment
a population is a count of one species & a community counts as many species all at same time.
There isn't a community of a species, but there could be a population.
There is one big difference between a population and a species. Populations do not necessarily have to refer to living things whereas species does.
Population which is all of the organisms of the same species.
A community is several species of animals interacting, while a population is
In biology/ecology, a population is a group containing many members of a single species, and a community consists of all the organisms in a particular area.
