Is Manchester a nice place to live in?

That depends where in Manchester do you live in. Avoid East Manchester at all cost, areas like Denton, Drolysden, Hyde, Ashton-under-lyne, Moss side - just avoid them like a plague. Stay away from Audenshaw and Wythenshaw too, they are full of Chavs ! Longisght, Levenshulme and Rusholme should also be on the list to avoid. The best areas are Chorlton and Didsbury but they are pricey. Fallowfield and Withington are party places because they are full of students. Wilmslow would be the best (which actually comes under Cheshire) but then its as expensive as London, I mean the housing. All the areas I have mentioned are South Manchester which is where I have lived, don't know about North Manchester but I believe they are not very different either for example Cheetham Hill, Salford ( NOT Salford Quays), Crumpsall, they are all to be avoided ! Prestwich is better though in the North but then again pricey. Hope this helps
