It is difficult to determine definitively since subcultures like 'emo' and 'chav' are constantly evolving and perceptions can vary by region. However, historically, the 'chav' subculture has been more widespread in the UK, while the 'emo' subculture has had a significant presence in various countries around the world.

NO! chavs are way too much trouble they steal, drink underage, fight, carry weapons (usually pocket knives) and all that crap..emo's are usually nice people who don't cause any trouble, they mind their own business, hang out with friends (yes some may self harm themselves but that's nothing compared to a chav)

When did Emos start abusing themselves?

When the chavs came along, they accused the emos of being sad, the goths did it too, but accused them of being cheap inpressions of them, then the punks said they were loners, that tried to be like them. Emos could do nothing about it, since the 3 main labels had ganged up on them. There is no recorded time when the emos started abusing themselves, maybe when they started coming about in the year 2004. Ever since, emos today have copied their ansesters and cut themselves, but even now, they're coming to their senses! Phew

Why are us emos miss-took?

People (non-Emos) think that Emos overreact about little problems in their life. They think Emos think they have bigger problems than everyone else and are spoiled, depressed people that deserve to die. Those people just don't understand that Emos do what they do to help themselves cope.

Are stereotypes correct?

No, not all stereotypes are correct. Not all Indians like curry, not all blondes are dumb, not all footballers are wimps who can't handle the pain, not all 'emos' self-harm, and not all chavs go around terrorizing old women.

Which are better emos or preps?

Both "emo" and "prep" are social labels that can be limiting and come with stereotypes. It is important to appreciate people for who they are as individuals rather than judging based on labels or appearances. Embracing diversity and understanding that everyone is unique is crucial in building a more inclusive and understanding society.

Do emos cry?

Like any other person, emos are capable of experiencing and expressing their emotions, including crying. Emos may be more in tune with their emotions and not afraid to show vulnerability, so they may be more open about crying compared to others. It's important to remember that emotions and how they are expressed can vary from person to person, regardless of their perceived subculture or identity.
