I'm saying plants population. I say this because according to the merrill biology an everyday expirence book, somewhere around chapter 30.2- 30.5, animals move around, so they can be counted twice or not counted at all while plants don't move so it is easier to count. But then there are so many plants, it is hard to count. In order to keep track of animals, they mark them with a braclet or tracking device while for plants, they mark it with paint. well that is my guess.
Counting plant populations is generally easier than counting animal populations because plants are often stationary and can be observed in one place for an extended period of time, while animals can move around and may be difficult to track and count accurately. Additionally, plants can be counted visually in clusters or from above, while animals may require more advanced techniques such as camera traps or tagging for accurate population estimation.
