Greenhouse is a structure covered with either polyethylene or glass which entrap energy of sunlight in to it as the solar energy received from sunlight is converted into long waves .The covering material does not allow energy to escape hence the greenhouse effect created.

Greenhouses are used to create a controlled environment for plants to grow in. They help extend the growing season by maintaining optimal temperature, humidity, and light levels for plants. Greenhouses also provide protection from pests, diseases, and extreme weather conditions, allowing for better cultivation of a wider variety of plants.

  • Green houses, also called eco homes, are built as one of the solutions to prevent and control air pollution through decreasing dependence on fossil power plants and through limitation of greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Greenhouses, or glasshouses (garden sheds made of glass) are built to permit the growing of plants in climates that are otherwise too cold for the plant. They can be used to start plants early, so they are further along when the weather is right for transplanting to the outside, or they can be used to grow tropical plants in temperate or colder regions.
