Well, when we consider that the first civilizations such as the ones in the Indus valley, Mesopotamian, China and Egypt we find that the people that settle there and formed sedentary life style were first hunter gathers and that for the first couple of centuries they basically stayed that way..
Yet, as the group became larger within the civilization there was a greater need for food which lead to greater need for agriculture.. so my answer to you is that a sedentary life style lead to agriculture and not the other way around...
Oh.. I know your teacher is most likely looking for a specific answer that he or she believes is correct but.. if you turn the question around and give him a logical answer that shows critical thinking your teacher will be amazed...^^ if he is cool like me..^^

Yes, many northwest Native American tribes practiced agriculture, cultivating crops such as corn, beans, and squash. They also engaged in fishing and hunting for sustenance.
A piece of land used for growing crops is called a field or a farm.
Agriculture would have been most challenging in areas with harsh climates, such as deserts or polar regions, where water scarcity or extreme temperatures make it difficult to grow crops. Additionally, regions with poor soil quality or frequent natural disasters, like flooding or droughts, would present challenges for sustainable agriculture.
The grain combine revolutionized agriculture by automating the process of harvesting grain crops on a larger scale. It increased efficiency, reduced labor requirements, and allowed farmers to harvest more quickly and effectively. This technology significantly improved productivity in the agricultural sector.
The city-state in the top image is located near a river and has access to the sea. It appears to have fertile land nearby suitable for agriculture. Given its strategic location for both river transport and maritime trade, it is likely that this city-state was a trading community that engaged in agriculture to support its economic activities.

There really isn't anything that is not related to agriculture, if you stop and think about it.
An agricultural-based economy is an economy in which everything starts with how well agriculture in that society is. Such as in the Ancient Mesopotamian society in which a surplus caused by agriculture led to job specialization, which in turn led to more manufacturing, which led to more trade, which would then lead to a richer economy. But if the farming is not producing enough food, then more workers will have to work in agriculture which leads to less manufacturing/specialized jobs, which in turn leads to less trade, and then a poor-er economy.
