Absolute coordinates are based on the UCS origin (0,0), which is the intersection of the X and Y axes. Use absolute coordinates when you know the precise X and Y values of the point.
Cartesian, cylindrical, or spherical coordinates locate points when you are creating objects in 3D.Enter X.Y.Z coordinate3D Cartesian coordinates specify a precise location by using three coordinate values: X, Y, and Z.Entering 3D Cartesian coordinate values (X,Y,Z) is similar to entering 2D coordinate values (X,Y). In addition to specifying X and Y values, you also specify a Z value using the following format:X,Y,Z

A line (2D), ray (2D), vector (2D), line segment (2D), a mobius strip (3D), or a klein bottle (3D).
GstarCAD Standard includes the function of 2D plane drawing. GstarCAD Professional adds 3D and dynamical block functions on the base of Standard version; Academic version includes all the functions, but there are watermarks on printings and the size of drawings are limited.

I think so. However, no 2D CAD provider can get rid of DWG file format of autocad.
2d means 2 dimensional or flat figures. If you are dealing with algebra or graphing, it would mean X and Y coordinates only, not Z.

.dwg is the default drawing format of GstarCAD; at present, GstarCAD is compatible with ever version of .dwg and .dxf files from 2.5 to 2010, it is means GstarCAD is compatible from AutoCAD 2.5 to AutoCAD 2012. If you are using AutoCAD 2013, you have to exchange the file with GstarCAD and save it as earlier .dwg version before 2010. By the way, GstarCAD will be compatible with AutoCAD 2013 soon.
ARX programs which are based on AutoCAD platform cannot run on GstarCAD directly, GRX is for GstarCAD, GRX has high compatibility with ARX, usually, and it can be used on GstarCAD platform after just a little modification.
Yes. You enter them as a waypoint, and then you can write information about it and assign a symbol.
Curvilinear coordinate systems are a means of describing an object/point's position based on angle and distance from the origin. For example, polar coordinates are Curvilinear coordinates for R2 (2D space). Spherical coordinates are Curvilinear coordinates for R3 (3D space) If you need to know more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curvilinear_coordinates
Yes, GstarCAD has more than 100 functions in Express Tools which are similar to AutoCAD, and some of them are GstarCAD unique features such as drawing compare,GstarCAD tools. All of them help engineers work more efficiently.
Yes, the circle is a 2D object. All of its points only have X and Y coordinates.
There are a couple of ways I would use to do this. 1) use the data cable to download the coordinates if they are obtained from a website or software package. 2) To enter the coordinates directly, I would press and hold the ENT button which generates a waypoint with your current coordinates. Use the up/down keys to select the coordinates field, press ENT to enter edit mode and then enter the coordinates you want by selecting the digit with left and right buttons and using up and down to change the value. Whenever you have entered the coordinates desired, press enter to store them and they will be saved as a waypoint. You can then press ok to use the waypoint later or goto if you wish to proceed to the waypoint directly.
