-- The circumference of any circle is (pi) x (diameter) = 9 pi = 28.274 inches.-- The radius of a circle is 1/2 of its diameter. The radius of the dinner plate is 4.5 inches.-- The area of a circle is (pi) x (radius)2. The area of the dinner plate is probablya bit more than that, because it's not a flat surface.-- The area of the flat circle in the plane defined by the rim of the plate is(pi) x (4.5)2 = 20.25 pi = 63.617 square inches(rounded)
The diameter of one bicycle wheel is 28 inches and its spokes run from the hub (or center) to the edge of the rim. The diameter of another bicycle wheel 21 inches. What is the difference in inches between the length of the spokes of the two wheels?pi * diameter = circumference, if that's what you're looking for. But be aware that the numbers and sizes used to describe bicycle tires are often very inaccurate. So all you have to do is just subtract 28 from 21 and divide your answer by two!! 28-21=7 7/2=3.5
Ah, sounds like you've got yourself a trapezoid there, honey. With two parallel sides of different lengths, you can bet your bottom dollar it's not your run-of-the-mill square or rectangle. So, go ahead and strut your stuff knowing you've identified that sassy four-sided shape!
The shape that has two faces and can roll is a cylinder. A cylinder has two circular faces at either end, and its curved surface allows it to roll smoothly. This shape is commonly seen in everyday objects such as cans, coins, and wheels.
Yes and no. OEM wheels are machined to an exact size like 114 or 115, so NO, you can't swap OEM wheels. After-market wheels are NOT machined to an exact size. Depending upon which brand wheels you buy, you CAN swap 5-114 for 5-115 and vice versa, since most after-market 114 or 115 rims are BOTH machined universally at @ 114.3 anyway, sorta like how a 2" x 4" piece of lumber is NOT really 2 inches by 4 inches, more like 1 and a half by 3 and a half, but is still called a 2 x 4! 114 or 115 is just the lug distance/spacing between one lug, say at 9 o'clock, if your rim was a clock face, measured to a lug at say 3 o'clock. One mm is not going to ruin your vehicle. 114 is found on some Toyotas and other rice burners, 115 is mostly a GM (Buick/Oldsmobile/Cadillac) lug distance/spacing diameter. You might need one of the plastic center rings (spacers) that go between the back of the wheel (rim) and the hub/drum/rotor. As long as a wheel fits your vehicle's lugs and doesn't rub under the fender (Wheelwell) upon steering, it can be used.

The difference between a Type 1 and Type 2 Susan B. Anthony dollar primarily lies in the positioning of the date on the coin. Type 1 coins, minted in 1979, have the date positioned closer to the rim, while Type 2 coins, minted later in 1979, feature the date moved further away from the rim, resulting in a more balanced appearance. Additionally, Type 1 coins may have slight design variations that are not present in Type 2 coins. Collectors often seek both types for their distinct characteristics.
